How a deal works, the two paths, A to Z
Same start and same finish; only the price step differs. Certificates, delivery or pickup options and lead time live on the listing, so terms are structured into both paths. The private chat covers the rare exceptions.
Before any deal: the seller creates the listing (price, delivery or pickup options, attached certificates) → Spare8 approves it → it goes live in the catalog.
1 · Buy now
Fixed price; ships within the seller's stated lead time
- The buyer accepts the listed price and sets the order details: delivery or pickup, the date needed, and any documents required.
- Pays into escrow via the payment provider.
- Seller identity and full documents are released.
- Ship or pickup (Spare8 logistics and customs optional).
- Buyer confirms receipt and funds are released.
Buyer: "2 units, pickup at Macaé this week, include the data book." → Seller confirms and releases the documents.
Admin: minimal. The listing is already approved; oversight and disputes only.
2 · Make an offer
Negotiate the price; delivery follows the listed lead time
- The buyer proposes a price and terms. The offer is screened against the seller's confidential floor; the seller accepts or counters until agreed.
- Pays into escrow via the payment provider.
- Seller identity and full documents are released.
- Ship or pickup (Spare8 logistics and customs optional).
- Buyer confirms receipt and funds are released.
Buyer: "10 units at BRL 9.500,00 each, ship to Macaé in 20 days." → Seller: "OK on price; freight BRL 3.000,00, agreed?"
Admin: light. Approves the listing and oversees; does not action each message.
After terms are agreed: payment and settlement (escrow)
Same for both paths. The money is held safely until the buyer receives the item, protecting both sides.
- Order and payment: the buyer pays into escrow via a licensed payment provider (PIX, boleto, wire/TED or card). Item price, freight as a separate line and the Spare8 fee are shown before confirming.
- Funds are held in escrow; the seller is notified that payment is secured and prepares the item.
- The seller issues the NF-e for the goods and uploads it.
- Fulfilment: the seller ships or the buyer collects; tracking is updated.
- The buyer confirms receipt, or the inspection window closes.
- Release and split: the provider pays the seller the item price minus the Spare8 commission; Spare8 issues an NFS-e for that commission.
- Dispute? Funds stay in escrow while Spare8 mediates with documents and inspection reports, then release or refund.
Why this is safe for the companies
Spare8 is the marketplace and payment facilitator through a licensed payment provider, not the seller of the goods. The seller issues the NF-e for the item, new or used; Spare8 issues an NFS-e only for its commission. Escrow payments are part of the full release, not the demo.
